What are the prospects for the multimodal transportation industry?
In my opinion, it is a win-win situation for everyone including multimodal transporters and shippers. The future for this sector is bright provided the government does away with procedural hassles, eliminates multiple agencies, introduces single-door policy for exporters and streamlines operations under the DGS. All these measures will bring down the transaction costs considerably, which will ultimately benefit the shipper.
