What are the pros & cons of keeping the driving age @ 16?
Well there are a few pros and cons to keeping the driving age the same. Pros: *Leaving the age at 16 will give the teens a greater sense of responsibility. It will allow them the ability to take care of something so great which is learning how to drive. *The sooner a teen learns the art of driving, and driving safely, then they are no longer a burden to their parents. They are then able to drive on their own without having their parents doing it all of the time. Cons: *At this age, many teens are still immature. They do not take driving seriously. *Many of them see it as a game, and as a good time rather than a means of transportation. *At 16 there is a greater risk of not being prepared for the road, and the rules of the road are easily ignored at this age. *Accidents are increased due to a lack of experience.
