What are the pros and cons of working in Early Childhood Education Field?
The pros are plentiful…this is working with our future! Kids are fresh, open, honest. They are full of life. The job is completely rewarding and ever-changing. You get to see your progress, watch the children grow and change. You learn to hone your patience skills and you can learn lots from the actual work of teaching them. If you are lucky, you are appreciated by all the parents and you will have a community that supports education. The cons include that often you are not compensated nearly as you should be, there can be situations that are not pleasant with parents or the school system (as with any profession), you will really have to test the limits of your patience (kids are not like adults who know when the end is near), and you may find raising your own family to be more of a challenge after dealing with kids all day.
