What are the pros and cons of using solar energy?
JS: Solar energy is always consistent, there is light everyday no matter the weather. Obviously the more sun the better it works, but there is always enough light. It is better then being involved with an electric company – it’s like owning your own power plant. There is no noise; they are low maintance, and there are no CO2 emissions. The biggest problem of using solar energy is during the wintertime, the snow and the lack of sun. It still works. But you have to keep them clean so the snow doesn’t cover them. It has to be in a good spot. Trees are a problem, there has to be no shade. The more sun exposure the better. CH: What is the best way to get solar panels installed? JS: Call me.
