What are the pros and cons of using casters for mobility?
Anchoring the lifter to a fixed point eliminates the possibility of over turning. Care must be taken with units mounted on casters to prevent tipping. Lifters with casters have a wider footprint to provide stability and they must be in the down position before being moved. For lifters with casters, passageways and doors must be large enough to accommodate the lifter with the mixer attached. The lifter can be tall enough to interfere with the top of the doorway, and a power source must be supplied at each operating location for lifters with casters.
