What are the pros and cons of the Iraq War?
The only pro I can think of about this war, is that Baby Bush got to hook up Cheney’s old company (Haliburton) and other corporate buddies with a bunch of no bid contracts to profit from this war. At one time in American history, war profiteering was seen as treason, but in Bush’s America, it’s noble capitalism. The cons are numerous: 1. We’ve lost support and credibility around the world. 2. This war costs $4 billion a month. This greatly contributed to the current $9 trillion debt and economic catastrophe that Bush created. 3. Well over 3,000 soldiers died over Bush’s war. Not to mention the tens of thousands of injured soldiers. Let us not forget the million plus innocent Iraqi civilians that were needlessly killed. That’s a lot of blood on Bush’s hands. 4. This war helped expand Al Qaeda, and gave Islam extremists all the propaganda and training they needed to further hate and resistance against Americans. 5.
