What are the pros and cons of not eating meat?
Pros: You run up no danger of eating too much red meat! and you cannot eat any horrible processed or reconstituted meats that are bad for you. You are more likely to eat a more wholesome diet because you will have to eat more vegetables. Non meat sources of protein are often lower in fat. Cons: It is more difficult to create a vegetarian meal which contains enough protein without having to eat too much cheese or eggs. You need to know what you are doing to cook other stuff unless you buy it ready made and pay more for it and the only good way to get enough vitamin B12 is to eat meat but you can take suppliments. Some meats like fish and fresh chicken and are actually very healthy. It is also less socialble to be a vegetarian apart from with other vegetarians. PS: From the vegetarians I have known most of them have not eaten as healthy as meat eaters but that is not to say that they cannot eat healthy.
