Steel roller coasters: – Can have inversions, whereas you won’t find wooden coasters with inversions. – Can have high-speed launches, whereas wooden coasters are limited to chain lifts. – Can have 90-degree vertical lift hills and 90-95 degree vertical descents, whereas wooden coasters cannot achieve such steep lifts and descents. – Can have a more “smooth, glass-like” glide through their track, whereas wooden coasters tend to shake and jostle riders more.
