Both the EPA and state regulations require friable ACM to be placed in leak-tight containers which have the required warning labels on the exterior of the waste bags. The state regulations further require the waste bags be of clear 6 mil plastic sheeting. The state licensed municipal landfills can dispose of asbestos. Contact the local landfill for instructions on disposing in their facility.
