There is no admission “cut-off” score for the GRE examination; your GRE scores will be evaluated by the admissions committee in the context of your entire application package. Strong weigh is also given to your undergraduate GPA, your performance in upper-level technical courses, your letters of recommendation, and your statement of purpose. Do I have to take the TOEFL exam? Can TOEFL be waived? You must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) if you are an international student AND your native language/mother tongue is not English. This requirement cannot be waived. This includes Singapore applicants. NOTE: If English is not your native language, even if you have lived or studied in the United States, you must submit an official report of your TOEFL scores. These scores must be sent to us by ETS to be considered official. ETS will only send recent (less than 2 years) TOEFL report
