What are the projects that AlterMed intends to fund in 2010 and 2011?
AlterMed is planning to fund and support the following two main programs in 2010 and 2011: (1) mind-body medicine research, and (2) host evidence-based Integrative Medicine Conference (focus on mind-body medicine and lifestyle management) in July of 2011 with poster session to provide information to the public, physicians, and other health professionals. Glossary: Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM): EBM is the integration of current best research evidence with clinical expertise and patient values. Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM): Complementary Medicine is used in conjunction with conventional medicine where as alternative medicine is used instead of conventional medicine.
