What are the programming plans and expansion goals for MTV Latin America?
Were always looking for new ways to expand our business portfolio in the market by adding more channels, more brands and new lines of business to deepen our relationships with our viewers. In November MTVN advanced its expansion strategy to include the launch of Logo, the first gay, lesbian and transsexual network in Latin America, via Sky Mexico and Sky Brazil, allowing us to provide quality content to this underserved market in the region. Additionally, we launched VH1 Mexico in April ’04 and VH1 Brazil in November ’05, and we’ll launch MTV Central, our third MTV channel on November 28. We’ve also expanded our online business to include the launch of the first ever on-demand broad band service in Latin America, www.mtvrevolution.com, which debuted in August ’05 and has been visited by 40,000 users since its launch.
