The National Employers Organisation for School Teachers (NEOST) also publish joint advice with the teacher unions on practices and procedures for dealing with allegations against staff in schools. Schools also need to be aware of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 which sets out an offence of abuse of a position of trust.
