Unfortunately Sprint did not do a very good job with the Hero. They left in a huge bug that deletes all of your widgets and adds them back whenever you reboot or restart the home screen manager. Because of this you get a new widget id and the widget cannot find your saved settings. I have created a work around for Sprint Hero users but the limitation is that you will only be able to use one of each size of the widget. This means one 1×1, one 1×2, and one 1×4. Free version users will only be able to have one 1×1. You can enable this option in the widgets configuration.
