What are the pro abortion arguments??
Some pro-choice arguments are: 1. A fetus is a parasite that imacts the host’s health negatively. We wouldn’t force someone to carry a tapeworm for 9 months against their will. 2. The constitution says that nobody will be deprived of life or liberty without due process, but forcing a woman to carry a baby impairs her liberty and can threaten her life. 3. A fetus is not a sentient being. In reality, newborns aren’t sentient yet either, but you have to draw the line somewhere. Some pragmatic arguments: 4. Many people feel that victims of incest and rape should not be forced to carry the baby. 5. Teenagers who become pregnant are far more likely to become a burden on society if they have the baby than if they get an abortion. Even putting it up for adoption, they often are forced or encouraged to leave school once they start to show. 6. Chidren born to undereducated underemployed single mothers are more likely to become burdens on society than children born to educated nuclear families. 7
