What are the privacy provisions within the Alaska Patient Bill of Rights?
This state law prohibits a health insurance carrier from disclosing medical and financial information about an applicant or person currently or formerly covered by the health insurance carrier to a third party, unless the disclosure fits within one of the very few exceptions (e.g., upon written request from the individual).
