COSA is designed to provide a consistent set of indicators for use in nearly any agricultural system and the methods to gather that indicator data so as to ensure its scientific credibility. By having volumes of empirical data over time, a true understanding of sustainability can emerge. With consistent indicators, we can begin to communicate in a clear and common language of sustainability.
