What are the price ranges and general MLS related information?
Based on MLS data, leased land cottage total MLS sales $ increased by 22% in 2010 however the average sale price decreased by 11% from $98,040 in 2009 to $87,517 in 2010. I think this reflects the multiple years of poorer sales and people wanting to sell their cottage. You can see in the chart below that the number of sales have declined for the past 6 years and finally last year we saw an increase. The chart below indicates the average selling price per square foot returned to more traditional levels after an increase last year. Over the last 4 years waterfront cottages averaged $133 per sq ft and non waterfront cottages $84 per sq ft..
