What are the prerequisites for the phlebotomy training programs?
• The prerequisite requirements for our programs are: • Students must be 18 years of age. • Possess a high school diploma or GED. College/University units are desirable. • Fluent in English (verbal and written). • Proof of a current Mumps, Measles, Rubella (German Measles), and Varicella Zoster (Chickenpox) Immunization or Titer. • Proof of a negative TB skin test or a negative chest x-ray taken within three months prior to the training. • Proof of a Hepatitis B Vaccination or signed Vaccination Waiver (provided by the program). • Note from a physician indicating student may participate in the clinical training without limitation. • At least 3 years of phlebotomy experience (from 1998-2003) or over 1,040 hours on-the-job-experience (Advanced Program only).
