What are the prerequisites for the certified payroll professional courses?
There are no prerequisites for enrolling in the courses. To be eligible for the Certified Payroll Professional examination, one must have been practicing in the payroll profession a total of three years out of the preceding five years from the date of the examination, with direct involvement in any of the following: • payroll production and reporting • payroll administration • payroll education/consulting, with previous experience in the production • or administration of payroll How do I take the certification examination? The CPP exam consists of 180 multiple choice questions and 20 pre-test questions. Four hours are allotted to complete the exam. Reservations for the examination can be scheduled by calling the Assessment Systems, Inc. Candidate Care Center at 1-800-470-8757.
