What are the prerequisites for applying?
Students entering the program are required to complete upper division courses in introductory statistics and research, clinical psychology, developmental psychology, abnormal psychology, learning psychology, personality psychology and cross-cultural psychology. Comparable courses may be considered to fulfill some of these requirements but courses from community colleges are not acceptable. Currently, I am employed as an Early Childhood/Preschool teacher. I have previous work experience with school-age recreation and tutoring programs. Is this considered “psychological experience with children and families”. If not, what would be some examples of work that involves “psychological experience”? Your previous work as a teacher and in the recreation and tutoring programs would be considered in the application process.
