During the second quarter of 2003, according to Massachusetts Division of Unemployment Assistance, 36.4% of employed persons in Cambridge worked in Education and Health Services, 22.9% in Professional and Business Services, 10.6% in Trade, Transportation and Utilities and 8.8% in Leisure and Hospitality. Manufacturing, formerly the predominant section in Cambridge, employed 4.8%, less than in the Information sector.
