On certain AV receivers, you may have the ability to connect an external component to affect the overall output. Please refer to the following connection possibilities: Equalizers, Mixers, Subwoofers and external power amplifiers – Connect the pre-out from the AV-receiver to the line-in on the external device. Then connect the line out from the external device to the main-in on the receiver. In the case of an external power amp, you would not use the receiver main in connections.
