What are the power limits of the different plant components (differential, transmission, engine, etc.)?
There really was not enough failures to really pin point a limit to the power of various components of the chain. The engine may fail at power plants if it wasdangerously thin. But when well tuned, engine internals (pistons, rods, Crank, Head Gasket etc.) are reliable to 700rwhp. Of course, these levels of power if the engine is not put in place and properly adjusted, it is literally a bomb waiting to explode, but this is also true with an engine built. Some owners have pushed their internal measures to limit and have well over 800rwhp, and even approached 900rwhp. I still do not understand how such an engine has to build morepast the bean counters at Toyota Corporate. The 6-speed Getrag is ridiculously strong for an OE transmission. Its limit is strongly influenced by the driving technique, such as the launch, and power or not transfer is used. Even driven hard, the Getrag should hold up reasonably well with 700RWHP. If you treat with some respect, it should be able to process around
