What are the post-op procedures for knee tumescent liposuction?
Patients generally experience only mild discomfort after the procedure. You can walk immediately afterward, enjoy light to medium activities, and return to work in a day or two. Some, but not all, patients experience mild bruising. A compression garment similar to bike shorts is worn for three days and nights and then at least eight hours a day for two weeks. Some patients might experience swelling after the procedure. Good results are visible within three to four weeks; final results are seen within six months. While it does take a while for the swelling to subside, there is minimal to no pain involved. With tumescent liposuction of the knees, there are no stitches, and the tiny puncture wounds naturally close within two days. The most common discomfort patients experience is mild soreness, similar to the muscle ache that accompanies strenuous exercise.
