What are the possible side effects of treatment with Juvederm?
My derm told me there’s no difference between juvederm and restylane. She said both gave long lasting natural looking results for wrinkle treatment. but googled juvederm and their official site sure makes it sound more effective.
~ Treatment with Juvederm can result in side effects such as bruising, swelling or tenderness at the site of injection. These side effects, if they occur will subside within 3 to 7 days. As with any procedure that involves an injection through the skin, there is always the chance of infection. Other possible side effects are extremely rare. When doing lip augmentation, your lips will be swollen for 24-48 hours after treatment. To help minimize the swelling we give two doses of Dexamethasone (a steroid used to reduce inflamation and swelling) one prior to treatment and one to take later.
