What are the possible side effects of Clozaril?
Side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, tell your doctor as soon as possible. Only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking this drug. Side effects may include: drowsiness, sedation, seizures, dizziness, decrease in blood pressure, fast heartbeat, headache, tremor, constipation, abdominal discomfort, nausea, profuse salivation during sleep, fever, constipation A rare but serious—and possibly life-threatening—condition known as neuroleptic malignant syndrome can occur with Clozaril. If you experience a very high fever, rigidity in your muscles, shaking, confusion, sweating, or increased heart rate and blood pressure, seek emergency medical care immediately.
