What are the possible side effects of Acyclovir?
The most common side effects of Acyclovir are headache, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. These side effects are usually mild and should not cause you to stop taking Acyclovir. An uncommon but serious side effect that can occur in patients who have kidney disease or whose kidney function is diminished due to age is kidney failure and nervous system problems. Nervous system problems can appear as aggressive behavior, confusion, unsteady or shaky movements, speech problems, hallucinations, seizures, and coma.
