What are the possible sampling points for collecting an oil sample in low and medium speed engines?

0

For Low Speed or Medium Speed Engines the oil sample should be drawn from the following collecting point: a) Main Supply Line or b) Oil Pump Delivery or c) Oil Filter Outlet or d) Oil Cooler Outlet or e) Engine Inlet It is recommended not to collect any sample either “before or after” the oil separator or directly from the oil sump because it will not be representative of the whole system oil in service.
