What are the possible outcomes of my Special Order?
As your Special Order is processed, and the status changes, we will e-mail you a “Special Order update” notification. The most current status of your Special Order can always be viewed online in your Order History. The following are the possible changes to the status of a Special Order. • Checking Availability – Copyright Clearance Center needs additional time to research your order. In most cases, we will be able to grant your order and notify you via e-mail within 24 hours. In some instances, we will need to send your request to the rightsholder for review, and will send you a response via e-mail within two weeks. • Forwarded to Rightsholder – Your request has been forwarded to the rightsholder and we are awaiting a response. If the rightsholder does not respond, we will send a “2nd Request” and a “Final Request.” Once the rightsholder responds, we will contact you via e-mail to notify you of permission availability. • Granted – You have been granted permission to use this title as r
