What are the possible outcomes of my preliminary application?
Some applicants will not meet the Arts and Culture Program’s values or Institutional Capitalization criteria, and they will not be invited to submit a full application. Other applicants may meet the Arts and Culture Program’s values, articulate their goals in a cogent manner and explain how the proposed project furthers the organization’s mission, but not adequately demonstrate an understanding of the project’s impact on its capitalization structure. In these cases, Kresge may offer the organization an opportunity to apply for a technical assistance grant to think more deeply about capitalization issues. Finally, organizations that meet Kresge’s values, succinctly explain the proposed project, and demonstrate a clear understanding of capitalization will be invited to submit a full application for either a facility investments grant or a building reserves grant.
