What are the possible causes of selfishness in people ?
Up bringing could be part of it. I know in my own life when I become too self absorbed selfishness nearly always results. I think half your life needs to be focused on living and accommodating other people’s needs to some extent. Think about it the world is the same size as it was centuries ago, but there are now over 6 billion people living off the global resources. If we do not start learning to be more considerate of others then we can expect things to get tougher for everyone as the global population grows towards 10 billion and beyond. This will most likely happen in my grand children’s day, which is not as far off as I might like to think.
