Northside Elementary Closed Thursday At its regular meeting on Wednesday, May 25, the Ann Arbor Public Schools board of trustees heard a report that during heavy storms earlier in the day, Northside Elementary School, located at 912 Barton Dr., had been struck by lightning, causing a chimney to crumble. No injuries were reported due to the strike. However, the school will be closed on Thursday, May 26, to deal with the damage to the building, the board was told.
