What are the policies for removing a site?

0

It is up to the sole discretion of Information Technology whether a site is removed from the server. Sites will be removed if they negatively impact other sites or other entities in any way. This includes the improper use of sites (against UW Regulation 3-690), poorly written scripts that hog resources on the server, etc. If a site is even suspected of causing a problem, Information Technology reserves the right to stop the service of the site until further investigation can take place. If a site is disputed the owner of the site will be contacted via email within 48 hours and an investigation of the problem will start. If the site clears Information Technology will put it back into service.
