What are the playground rules at Simonton?
• No children are allowed on the playground without adult supervision. The school opens at 7:30 a.m. Children should not arrive before this time. • No animals allowed on the playground. • No bicycles, roller skates/blades, scooters or skateboards allowed on the playground area. • Shoes/sandals must be worn at all times…no bare feet. • No throwing sand or any other objects within play area which may cause injury. • No playing on wet equipment. • Students are not allowed to push other students on the swings. • No standing on swings. • Sit on swings appropriately and hold on with both hands. • No jumping off swings…stop the swing before getting off. • Don’t swing or twist empty swings. • Stand clear of moving swings to avoid contact and possible injury. • Slide down the slides with feet first only. • No running or walking up slides. • Slide down the slides one person at a time. • No standing/loitering at the bottom of the slides. • No pushing, running, shoving, or jumping on or off of pla
