What are the plans for the bike lane and walk-run path on the Mesa Road?
The Mesa Road has become an exceptionally popular spot for cyclists, runners, hikers and dog walkers. Many Mesa Lab employees commute by bicycle. Safety concerns have emerged when cyclists, pedestrians, and motorized vehicles traveling at different speeds try to share the same narrow road. An uphill bike lane will allow faster-moving vehicles to pass cyclists at a safe distance. A separate walk-run path provides a space for pedestrian traffic to safely enjoy the road apart from the faster-moving cyclists and vehicles.
