A. National Geographic Explorer is available in two editions. The Pathfinder Edition is written at the fourth- to sixth-grade reading level. The Pioneer Edition is written at the second- to third-grade reading level. Both editions look alike, and they feature the same great topics, maps, photographs, charts, and diagrams.
