What are the people like that have participated in past years?
Generally, students who have competed in this project have several important traits that lead to successful careers. First, they are internally motivated to seek out opportunities to do more than just what is required to get a degree. They seek out ways to enhance their skills and talents outside the classroom in ways that get them to where they want to be. They don’t necessarily always have the highest GPA or most outgoing personalities, but they know who they are and what they want from life, and are willing to work to get it. Second, they are curious and are willing to find ways to answer their questions outside traditional educational pathways, such as classes. This usually leads to developing relationships with others who have specific knowledge or information and enhances interpersonal management skills and teamwork skills. Finally, they are willing to work hard to get the things they want in life. This usually involves making choices of how to allocate time and effort to getting
