The Federal Court may impose penalties on individuals and corporations for breaching the price exploitation or misleading and deceptive conduct provisions of the Trade Practices Act. The penalties apply also to anyone who is knowingly concerned in, or aids and abets, a breach of the Act. This includes the business’s legal, accounting and other advisers. The following tables outline the penalties.
