Any person who approves travel in violation of Chapter 53 or the school district’s travel policy shall be required to reimburse the school district in an amount equal to THREE TIMES the cost associated with attending the event. It is critical that school principals and other building administrators ensure that all travel requests are approved by the school business administrator or his/her designee.
