A class B felony in Washington state carries a maximum of ten (10) years in the state prison and a maximum fine of $10,000. Unique to the sentencing code in Washington is a sentencing program based on a crime seriousness score (ranging from 1-16) and offender scored (ranging from 1-9+). Class B felonies are calculated based on those crimes who’s sentencing scores yields a maximum of ten (10) years in state prison. An example of Class B felony in Washington would be a crime whose level is below XI (11), and the offender score on the level XI crime being below 4. However, for some felonies below the crime seriousness level of XI (11), there is still a possibility of being charged with a class A felony if you have a high offender score (7 or above). A good example of class b felony in Washington would be manufacturing/selling drugs, or any serious crime other than murder (robbery, arson, burglary).
