You have two payment options for continuing your NCFlex benefits (except for Voluntary Group Term Life Insurance) while on leave. You can choose to: prepay the full amount of your benefits before you begin your leave; or pay on a monthly basis, which is called “pay-as-you-go.” When choosing this option, it’s your responsibility to make sure your payments are paid on time to avoid cancellation of coverage.
