What are the pay ranges for the posted positions?
The University of Chicago’s job announcements no longer include salary ranges for most staff positions. Job seekers are encouraged to apply for positions of interest that have a level of responsibility commensurate with their skills and experience. Candidates may elect to indicate salary expectations in a cover letter or to discuss salary issues when contacted for an interview. Hiring units determine pay rates within University guidelines, which include considering the following: job classification, pay range, market pay information, unit budget/ability to pay, and internal equity. Salary information for positions represented by a bargaining unit will continue to be posted.
