What are the parameters surrounding my employment?
Student employees are usually hired for at least an entire semester and are expected to work through the final exam period. While there is no need to reapply for your position each semester, you should still contact your supervisor to ensure your position is available when you return from semester break. If you are graduating at the end of spring semester and leaving the UIUC campus in the fall, you may continue to be employed during the summer until the day prior to the first day of fall classes. If you are graduating at the end of fall semester, you are not permitted to work beyond the last day of the semester s final exams.
