Swakopmund is a seaside resort on the Skeleton Coast of Namibia. Most visitors to Namibia make a point of stopping off here as it is an interesting mix of modern and quaint. In common with most seaside towns the world over, Swakopmund has a host of modern amenities with which to keep its visitors happy. But as a bonus, the town vividly reflects its Germany heritage. In the older parts of the town, you can be transported in an instant to a small town in Germany due to the colonial, baroque and and neo-classical styles of the 19th Century.
