What are the outputs prepared by STRUDS®?
The outputs generated by STRUDS® are either text reports or graphical reports in the form of drawings. The text reports in STRUDS® are automatically saved as text files having TXT extension whenever user opts for the `Write to File or `Print to File options. This text files can be opened by the user in Notepad or Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel. It would be better if these files are opened in Excel as the reports are tabular and generated to be compatible with Excel format. User can then modify these reports, if required. The graphical outputs generated by STRUDS® can be exported to any standard CAD software by using DXF interface. The DRAFTING module of STRUDS® serves this purpose. User can choose the drawings such as plan, slab reinforcement, beam cross sections, footing cross sections or foundation plan and prepare a DXF file. This file can then be opened in CAD software and saved as DWG file. User can then modify these drawings to suit his requirements.
