What are the output products of interferometry?

0

Interferometry produces in output interferograms, which are contour maps of change in the terrain-SAR platform distance. These maps can be updated at every new passage of the satellite on the area of interest (i.e. every 35 days for ERS), have high spatial density (about 100 pixel/km2) and high precision. They measure many effects: crustal movements, atmospheric perturbations, dielectric properties changes of the terrain, topography. They can be used to study terrain deformations or to create DEM.
