Apart from displacements, reaction forces, principal stresses and strains can be used in a vector plot. Yes. Use the command : • From the main menu bar select Result –> Field Output. • In the Field Output dialog box Select IF – Reaction Forces from the list Output Variable. Also select Magnitude but not any from the Components (which are mutually exclusive anyway). Click on Apply. • From the main menu bar select Plot –> Symbol. For the case of principal stresses the colour blue represents compression and yellow represents tension.
