What are the ordinances regarding tree removal?
A permit is required to cut any tree over 12″ in circumference for removal. All trimming and removal must be approved by our tree inspector. He is aware of the diseases such as oak wilt and others that affect our existing forest and when the best time is to cut and trim. No cutting of trees or brush is allowed along the Village right-of-ways. If overgrown trees or brush are affecting traffic please contact the Village office for removal by our maintenance crews. Grape ivy vines may be cut and removed on private property as these affect the qualtiy of our existing trees by suffocating their growth.
