The Indian commodity futures market is still at a nascent stage. Of late trading volumes and participation have picked up. Globally, commodity futures markets are having more volumes than equity markets. The same story is expected to happen here too. Also, introduction of other derivative products like option in commodities are expected to happen in India soon.
